CII to focus on SMEs and infrastructure
Jamshedpur, Apr 28: The newly elected chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Jharkhand Council, Sanjiv Paul said the council would stress on enhancing the capability of small and medium entreprenuers (SMEs) and their access to global market.
Talking to newsmen, here Mr Paul said the CII would also focus in the areas like infrastructure.
The council had also formed nine other panels, including energy, economic affairs and IT, for industrial growth in the state, he added.
Mr Paul said CII (Eastern Region) had emphasised on the four points, membership, government, society and media.
He said so far the acitivities of the CII state council were confined within the steel city here but the new committee had decided to expand its field of work to the other districts.
Mr Paul said the council had chalked out plans to convert Giridih district as an important industrial hub of the state. Besides, it would also pay a special attention to the districts like Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Bokaro.
He added the council was keen to develop its partnership with the state government and said it would submit a broad frame work to the government for intervention and action after interacting with various industries spreading over the districts in the state.
Mr Paul added that under the state council of CII all the commercial organisations would function smoothly to serve the intersts of the entreprenuers.
