BSNL to launch 'Dharadattan Offer'
Puducherry, Apr 28 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Puducherry, will launch a new scheme ''Dharadattam Offer'' in B-fone as part of the summer celebrations, its General Manager Anthony Marshal Leo said today.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Leo said under the offer subscribers would be offered rent-free landline connections for a period of three months.
No free calls would be allowed during the 90-day period and in lieu of rental waiver, customers opting for the scheme would be fed with ten seconds advertisements in the dial tone. After three months, the subscribers would go into the ''one India'' scheme mode, he informed.
It was the first time in the country that rent free landline connections were being offered by BSNL or anyother service provider, he said adding that the scheme would be valid only in Puducherry Secondary Switching Area (SSA).
He said BSNL would soon introduce EVDO in its Wireless Local Loop (WLL) enabling speed up to 2 Mbps in its WLL-CDMA network, he added.
