Lucknow, Apr 28: Reiterating its policy of not having post-poll truck with any party in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party President Rajnath Singh today said there was no question of joining hands with Mulayam Singh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party in the state.

''It is being circulated by our political detractors to confuse the voters as the rising graph of the BJP is causing discomfort to them,'' the BJP chief told reporters outside the polling booth where he came to cast his vote during the fifth phase of UP Assembly polls.

Making it clear that the BJP had no plans whatsoever to join hands with any party post-poll, he said the reports of BJP alliance with the SP were misleading and misplaced. ''We are sure of getting full majority in the UP polls and the situation of any alliance would never arise,'' he said.

In reply to a query about the impact of Rahul Gandhi's intensive election campaign on the prospects of the Congress, the BJP president dismissed it saying the Congress MP was too inexperienced and immature to influence poll results.

Sounding upbeat over the BJP's prospects in the polls, Mr Singh said the party surged ahead with every passing phase and the time of reckoning had come. ''We will form the majority government under Kalyan Singh in UP,'' he stated.

Mr Singh cast his vote at PWD guest house polling booth this morning.
