At least 20 killed in suicide attack in Pak, minister injured

Islamabad, Apr 28 (UNI) At least 20 people were killed and dozens of others, including Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao, injured in a suicide attack in Charsada town of the North West Frontier Province today.

Police officials said Sherpao appeared to be the target of the suicide bomber, whose decapitated head has been found from the site of the public meeting where the explosion took place.

No further details about the attacker were immediately available but officials said he could be an Afghan national.

Private Geo TV quoted Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah as saying that the intelligence agencies had feared such an attack.
