Vijayawada, Apr 28 (UNI) The 600th Annamacharya Jayanthi would be held at Tallapaka Village and Rajampeta Town on May three, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman K Karunakar Reddy announced here today.

Addressing a press conference, he said Annamacharya had written about 32,000 devotional songs on Lord Venkateswara and pervaded the Lord's glory.

Mr Reddy said though Annamacharya had written 32,000 songs, only 12,000 songs were available now, of which 1100 songs could be heard by listners. The remaining 10,900 songs would be translated and brought out in the next five years, he added.

He said as a prelude to the Jayanthi, Lord Venkateswara and Padmavathi idols would be brought to Tallapaka Dalitawada for 'Dalita Govindam' programme on May two.
