AIEEE examination tomorrow

New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), to be taken by around 6.45 lakh candidates, will be held across the country tomorrow.

Of the total number of candidates 72,900 are from Delhi where 96 examination centres have been set up.

This year the number of students appearing for the examination has registered an increase of around 1 lakh candidates.

The students will have to appear for a three-hour paper comprising questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics. The total marks for each section is 120.

''For an incorrect response 1 mark would be deducted,''a CBSE spokesperson said.

She said the examination will be held in the morning session from 0930 hrs to 1230 hrs.

Those opting for B. Arch course would have to write another paper on the same day in the afternoon session from 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs.

The final list of institutions admitting students through AIEEE 2007, including counselling procedure and schedule, shall be released on AIEEE website in May besides being published in Information Brochure for Counselling.

The examination is being held for admissions to different National Institute of Technology(NIT)/Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT's) and Deemed universities for BE/BTech and B Arch/B Planning courses.
