Afghan Taliban say have released French woman hostage
KABUL, Apr 28 (Reuters) The Taliban said today it had released a French woman aid worker abducted earlier this month, but there was no immediate confirmation from Kabul or Paris.
A Taliban spokesman, who declined to be named, told Reuters by satellite phone that the woman -- identified only as Celine -- had been freed after about three weeks in captivity.
Her French male colleague, Eric, and three Afghans working with them, remain hostages. The hostages worked for Terre D'enfance, an agency working with children in Afghan's southwest.
