Action against VVIP treatment to Bachchan family

Vijayawada, Apr 28 (UNI) Taking strong exception to the preferential treatment accorded to Amitabh Bachchan's family when they visited Tirumala on April 22 with the newly-wed couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek, TirumalaTtirupati Devasthanam (TTD) chairman K Karunakar Reddy today said stringent action would be initiated against the TTD officials.

The action agains the officials would be taken after a report would be submitted by its Executive Officer (EO) K V Ramanachary, who is conducting a probe into the matter, he told newspersons.

Replying to questions, Mr Reddy said the issue was very serious and no TTD official who ''went overboard'' during the visit of Amitabh's family would be spared.

The board has directed Mr Ramanachary to submit a detailed report within a month.
