5 arrested with heroin, fake currency
Amritsar, Apr 28 (UNI) The Special Narcotics Cell of the Punjab Police today nabbed five persons and recovered 700 grams heroin, Rs 18,000 counterfeit Indian currency notes and two unlicensed weapons from their possession.
Cell SSP Tulsi Ram said here that the five were taken into custody near Kohali village and all of them belonged to villages around Lopoke. They were identified as Balwinder Singh, Gursahib Singh, Baldev Singh, Prasan Singh and Kundan Singh.
They were all later arrested under the NDPS Act, the Arms Act and various sections of the IPC.
