4 killed in accident

Puducherry, Apr 28 (UNI) Four persons, including three of a family, were killed and another injured in a road accident at Aruvapakkam near Tindivanam last night.

According to police, Pakkiri, an industrialist hailing from Eripakkam in Puducherry bought a new car and took his wife Tamizh Selvi, son Bharathidasan and friend Anbazhagan for a pooja to the Munnoor Eswaran temple near Tindivanam in Villuppuram district of Tamil Nadu.

While returning to Puducherry after the pooja, the car dashed against a roadside tamarind tree killing Pakkiri, Tamizh Selvi, Bharathidasan and Sabarinathan on the spot. The injured, Anbazhagan, was admitted to the JIPMER hospital here.
