12 selected for CF Academy

Chandigarh, Apr 28 (UNI) The Chandigarh Sports Department retained 12 Under-10 players to be included into the state-run Chandigarh Football Academy (CFL).

They were shortlisted at the conclusion of two-day final physical and skill tests conducted at the Sector 42 Sports Complex here this evening.

Chandigarh Sports Director-Cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner Inderjit Singh Sandhu said that the selected players would be informed about their selection. Thirty one players were identified after district and state level trials.

The selection panel comprised Inderjit Singh Sandhu, Adviser to the Chandigarh Football Academy Reet Mohinder Singh, Joint Director JPS Sidhu, District Sports Officer J S Negi, football coaches Harjinder Singh and Tejinder Singh. The panel was also assisted by athletic coaches SK Joshi and Sarabjit Singh.

The selected players are: Gaurav Mall, Jagdev Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, Manpreet Singh, Prabhnoor Singh, Robinjit Singh, Rohit Kumar, Gurjeet Singh, Prabhjot Singh, Gursimrat Singh, Harsharan Khabra and Hitesh Sharma.
