Varanasi, Apr 27 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today said a weak SP will result in the revival of BJP's fortune in the politically crucial state.

Addressing an election rally at Benia Bag, amid Muslim dominated localities, the SP chief tried hard to reach out to public that the real fight in UP was between the BJP and SP and remaining political parties were out of race.

''SP aur BJP ke alawa baki sab aire gaire hain,'' he said.

Mr Yadav further said, ''there are only two options in UP, SP and the BJP... if the former is weakened, the latter will come to power,'' Mr Yadav reminded in an apparent bid to strike the anti-BJP chord among the crucial minority community voters.

''It was SP, which during the last Lok Sabha polls brought the BJP down to ten seats, ultimately preventing the saffron party from reinstalling its government at the centre. Again, it is only SP which can stop the BJP applecart from reaching the Centre through UP,'' the SP supremo added.

In a scathing attack against Congress, Mr Yadav said ''series of losses for the party in assembly poll starting from Bihar to Uttarakhand means that Congress is virtually being wiped out from the country. The defeat in the mayoral polls, Mumbai at the hands of the Shiv Sena and the civic election, Delhi means Congress is fast becoming a non-entity.'' After successive poll reverses to Congress the fate of UPA government at the centre is also uncertain with Sharad Pawar led NCP eager to jump off the sinking UPA ship anytime. Besides, the open advice of CPI to the other left parties and other UPA constituents to rethink about supporting the government at the centre is a clear indication that end is near, he claimed.

''Mahatma Gandhi at the time of Independence, had maintained that it was time to disband the Congress which was established only for national freedom. The day is not far when his dream will be actualised,'' the former defence minister added.

''Do not vote for Congress, which is breathing its last. Any support to revive Congress will only benefit the communal BJP.'' Alleging a nexus between the BJP and Congress against the popular SP regime, Mr Yadav said both the parties have divided the country on communal lines and hence, against the SP which cares for all irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

The SP supremo who largely confined his attack on the Cong-BJP, towards the end of his more than 30-minute speech, alleged BSP and BJP were again working together to come to power in UP.
