Veteran journalist Saral Sen dead

Kolkata, Apr 27 (UNI) Veteran journalist Saral Sen died here yesterday following a massive cardiac arrest. He was 72.

He is survived by wife and a daughter.

Sen was attached with CPI(M) mouthpiece 'Ganashakti'. He fell ill while on work in office. He was declared dead after being rushed to the hospital.

Sen's 'Berliner chhitthi' (Letters from Berlin) column in the now defunct Bengali daily 'Jugantar', was highly popular. He lived in the German city in the 60s and 80s.

He was also the former President of Calcutta Journalist Club. The CJC condoled his death.
