TDP demands inquiry into fake passport racket

Hyderabad, Apr 27 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today demanded a thorough inquiry by both Central and state Governments into the fake passport case involving political leaders.

Addressing a press confrerence here, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu said the inquiry was necessary to bring out the true facts before the people.

The government should 'debar' political leaders involved in the fake passport case, he said and demanded that strict criminal action be taken against them and they should be disqualified from politics.

Referring to the illegal construction of Babli project by the Maharashtra government, he said the Centre and the State government should constitute an expert committee to look into the issue.
