Slain Professor's parents meet Karunanidhi after US visit
Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) The parents of Prof G V Loganathan, one of the shoot out victims in the Virginia University, today returned from the US after performing the last rites of their son and met Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and expressed gratitude for arranging their visit to the US.
The slain professor's father G K Vasudevan and mother V Kannammal today called on Mr Karunanidhi at the State Secretariat and thanked him for arranging passports and visas in record time which enabled them to reach US, official sources said.
They also presented a memento to the Chief Minister, given to them by the Virginia University officials.
The State government had borne the entire travel expenses of the aggrieved family.
Prof Loganathan was one of the 32 victims, who fell to the bullets of a rampaging Korean student in the shoot out spree at the University campus on April 16.
