Scorching sun, 'loo' makes Rajasthan sizzle
Jaipur, Apr 27 (UNI) The searing sun accompanied with hot winds is making the heat wave in Rajasthan intense with indications of further rise in temperature in the coming days.
The sweltering heat in the state capital kept most people indoors today with the temperature touching 42.6 degrees Celsius at least 5 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature recorded was 22.4 degrees Celsius.
Most places in Rajasthan recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, with the sun showing no signs of relenting in the next few days.
The accompanying 'loo' has made people stay indoors although children are having to bear the trouble of trudging to school in the heat.
Ajmer recorded 41 degreed Celsius, Dabok 42, Jodhpur 42 and Bikaner 43 today.
The met office has predicted dust storms and rains with thunder at some places in the state in the next 24 hours.
