'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge' goes global

Mumbai, Apr 27 (UNI) Riding on the success of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005, Zee TV is back with a new season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 which will transgress geographical boundaries and move to a global level.

Subtitled ''Sangeet Ka Pratham Vishwayudh'', the challenge will be launched on May 4 and will be aired on Fridays and Saturdays on Zee TV.

BollyWood music directors Himesh Reshammiya, Ismail Darbar, teen sensations Vishal-Shekhar, and Bappi Lahiri, after searching the globe for talent, have shortlisted 32 participants who are being housed in Mumbai and are under the guidance of their respective mentors. The show has participants from acrosss the world.

''There are five contestants from Pakistan, a country brimming with talent and potential that is still untapped,'' Mr Darbar said.

ZEE TV Business Head Punit Goenka said, ''After having established properties like Challenge 2005 and Lil Champs, it was time to raise the bar. I firmly believe that music binds the world and moves across borders.'' ''These participants are a prime example of talent not hampered by geographical borders or religion,'' he added.

''Thirty-two contestants, selected from across four continents and six countries, will compete with each other under the guidance of their mentors, who will also enter the battlefield with their respective teams in their quest to find deserving winners,'' the Vishal-Shekhar duo informed.
