Moscow, Apr 27 (UNI) Russian and Indian navies today completed the joint anti-terrorist manoeuvres 'Indra-2007' in Peter the Great Bay near Vladivostok.

''All the tasks have been fulfilled,'' Russian commander of the exercise and Deputy Commander of the Pacific Fleet Sergey Avramenko told reporters in Vladivostok.

It was the second Russian-Indian naval exercise and the first held in Northern Pacific. The first bilateral exercise was held in the Indian Ocean in 2005.

During the three days of the joint exercises, the sailors of Indian and Russian navies mastered joint anti-terrorist actions and were trained to fight sea pirates and free captured ships.

The warships also trained to trace submarines. The last day of the exercise included combat fire to destroy a speedboat of terrorists and floating mines.

The exercise involved Pacific fleet warships Marshal Shaposhnikov and Admiral Vinogradov, a missile boat, a diesel submarine, several mine trawlers, a tanker and two tug boats.

The Indian Navy was represented by Destroyers the Maisor, Ranjit and Rana, as well as Corvette the Kutar and tanker ship The Jioti.
