Nahta denies charges of accumulating wealth, grabbing land
Mandsaur, MP, Apr 27 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Minister Narendra Nahta has refuted the allegation levelled by BJP legislator Omprakash Purohit regarding the Mandsaur Institute of Technology (MIT) -- run by him -- accumulating Rs 479 crore within short period besides grabbing land.
Mr Nahta told reporters here that the MIT's total property was worth Rs 4.79 crore. He also showed photocopies related to the property.
The Congress leader said the assets were shown worth Rs 479 crore due to some technical faults. The error has not been rectified yet.
He denied allegation regarding grabbing 15 acre land saying that the Technical Education and the Janshakti Niyojan departments had allotted 15 acres land each to the institute in separate orders.
Mr Nahta alleged that Mr Purohit was trying to illegally take the institute.
