Muslim participate in 'Ram Katha'
Badwani, MP, Apr 27 (UNI) Participation of Muslim devotees in the 10-day 'Ram Katha' by Maa Kankeshwari Devi has become the subject of discussion at Pansemal tahsil headquarters in this district.
Organising Committee's member Lokesh Shukla said the 'Ram Katha', which began on April 21, has witnessed large-scale participation by Muslims in 'Aarti' and 'Prasad' distribution.
Jila Sadar Muslim Sunnat Samaj also gave a warm welcome to the 'Katha Vachak (Story Teller)' Maa Kankeshwari Devi.
Abde Ali and Ali Akbar were helping in distributing 'Prasad', while Saifi and others of Bohra Samaj participated in the 'Aarti'.
''Devotees from several villages of Maharashtra are braving scorching sun to reach here to listen to the sacred 'Ram Katha','' said Mr Shukla.
He said every community has shown solidarity by handling refreshments, drinking water and other arrangements for the function.
Another committee member Dinesh Joshi said Sajid, a resident of Morwi in Gujarat, was also a part of the 'Bhajan Mandali'.
''Some Muslims of Pansemal participate during Ganeshotsav and Durgotsav with intense faith,'' added Mr Joshi.
