Militant involved in Arunachal IED attack arrested
Guwahati, Apr 27 (UNI) An ULFA militant, suspected to be involved in the IED attack on an Army patrol on April 25 in Chowkham in Arunachal Pradesh, was arrested by the Army today.
Official sources said the militant, identified as Ajit Gogoi of the 'C Company' of ULFA's 28th battalion, was arrested by troops of the 2nd Bihar Regiment at Makum in Tinsukia district of upper Asom.
A .32 pistol, a knief and four live cartridges were seized from the arrested.
The April 25 IED attack on the troops of 581 Light Infantry had killed two jawans and injured four others, the sources said.
