Krishnamurthy releases books of Kerala sibling writers

New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) A collection of Malayalam stories, written by nine-year-old Kerala girl, and a collection of poems in English by her 12-year-old brother were released here today at a function at the Central Sahitya Academy .

Academy Secretary and noted Kannada writer A Krishnamurthy released the books - "Thenoolan" by Inku Rahmath and "We all know the wind, But..." by R Rahmathullah.

Advocate P Rahim, the father of the two children, told UNI that "Thenoolan" is the fifth book of Inku, who started writing stories in Malayalam when she was just five years old.

Her first book "Inku Paranja Kathakal" was released when she was aged six. "Poovum Puzhayum," " Mookkuthipatti," and "Nathu Kannan" are her other published works.

"Thenoolan" is the collection of 18 stories with the foreword of celebrated Malayalam writer Dr George Onakkoor.

She is a fourth standard student at ARR Public School, Nettayam, Thiruvananthapuram.

"We all know the wind. But..." is the second work of her brother in English. He is an eighth standard student at the same school.

His first book --The Scuffle--was released by the then Chief Minister of Kerala, Mr Oommen Chandy.
