Kidnapped boy freed in MP
Chhatarpur, MP, Apr 27 (UNI) A six-year-old school boy kidnapped for ransom from this district's Gadeemlahra township, while returning from school on Tuesday, has been freed and police arrested three people including the victim's neighbour.
''Following police pressure, the accused abandoned Tanu Chaurasia in a Banda-Mahoba train. With passenger Shailendra Singh's help, the child reached the local Kotwali Police Station last evening,'' City Superintendent of Police U S Sikarwar said today.
Tanu was kidnapped by his neighbour and prime accused Krishnakumar Chaurasia who took the kid to his relative Piyush Chaurasia in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba district. After returning, Krishnakumar expressed ''sympathy'' for the boy's relatives. Police kept a watch on Krishnakumar who ultimately asked Piyush and accomplice Mohammad Naushad to free the child.
