Judicial probe in to prisoner suicide in Jodhpur jail

Jaipur, Apr 27 (UNI) A judicial magisterial probe has been ordered into the suicide of a prisoner in Jodhpur jail.

According to jail authorities, Kallan alias Karan Yadav(20) who was serving life term for murder was found hanging from the ceiling in the bath room of barrack number 8 on wednesday night.

Kallan who belonged to Firozabad Uttar Pradesh was shifted to the jail only on April 16. The jail authorities came to know of the incident while counting before locking the barracks.

Kallan and his uncle, Atul, were awarded life sentence by a fast track court in Pali for murdering a labour contractor on September 21 last year.

Udaimandir police have registered a case and started investgation.
