Inferno ravages 3 MP villages

Gwalior, Apr 27 (UNI) About 60 houses and stored crop worth lakhs of rupees have been charred and about a dozen heads of cattle killed in this district's Girora, Kisauli and Jhadauli villages engulfed by an inferno caused by a spark from a crusher.

The blaze could not be completely brought under control until last evening.

''The fire began at 1100 hrs in Girora and spread over about three km,'' said District Collector Rakesh Shrivastav. Fire engines were rushed from here, BSF Academy Tekanpur, Dabra and Bhitarwar.

The administration conveyed villagers to safer places and set up relief camps.
