Include Rajasthani in Eighth Schedule: Dr Yadav

New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Dr Karan Singh Yadav ( Cong) today demanded in the Lok Sabha the inclusion of the Rajasthani language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

A Bill for the purpose should be introduced in the ongoing Budget session itself, Dr Yadav said, raising the issue during zero hour.

Home Minister Shivraj Patil had made an assurance on the issue, but nothing had happened so far, the Alwar MP regretted.

Rajasthani was spoken by 60 million people in the state and elsewhere, but MPs were not allowed to use it in the House, he lamented.
