HC upheld abolition of CET for professional courses in TN
Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) The Madras High Court today upheld the validity of the Tamil Nadu admission in professional educational Institution Act, 2006, abolishing the Common Entrance Test(CET) for professional courses.
A division bench comprising Mr Justice P K Mishra and Mr Justice J A K Sampath Kumar, upheld the validity of the Act, while dismissing a batch of petition from S Aswin Kumar, a student and others challenging the Act.
The bench, however, said in case of architecture courses aptitude test was necessary.
