Defence staff hold demo

Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) More than 50,000 employees working in 40 ordnance factories, 50 DRDO laboratories and other Defence establishments under the Defence Ministry today staged a massive demonstration in different parts of the country.

In a statement here today, All India Defence Employeess Federation General Secretary C Srikumar said the demonstration was staged to draw the attention of Union Government to their 15-point charter of demands, including providing sufficient work to all Defence factories and interim relief for them from June one, 2006.
