CBSE authorities responsible for shortage of NCERT books: Manoj

New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Dr K S Manoj (CPI-M) today held CBSE authorities responsible for the short supply of NCERT books for classes XII-X.

Raising the issue in the Lok Sabha during zero hour, Dr Manoj regretted the non-availability of NCERT school books had worsened this year despite his complaint to the Human Resource Development Ministry last year.

Classes for the new academic session had already started, but the printing of books was yet to begin, he said.

The situation was very grave in Kerala as the books for the state had to come from the CBSE's regional office in Chennai, he said and sought the intervention of the HRD Ministry.
