Black day observed in Manipur
Imphal, April 27 (UNI) Black day was observed in Manipur today in memory of the day when Manipur lost its Independence to the British Empire.
Manipur was occupied on April 27, 1891 after Manipur's defeat in the 1891 Anglo-Manipur war.
A function, jointly organized by the International Peace and Social Advancement(IPSA), United People's Front(UPF) and Ethno Heritage Council(Hericoun) was held here at Kangla.
Dr K Ibo, Dr W Nabakumar, Y Dilipkumar, among others, spoke on the occasion.
