TN: AIADMK MLAs' suspension revoked
Chennai, Apr 27: The Tamil Nadu Assembly today revoked the suspension of four AIADMK MLAs and allowed them to attend the House from tomorrow.
After Chief Minister M Karunanidhi suggested the House could revoke the suspension following pleas by leaders of the AIADMK and its ally the MDMK, Leader of the House K Anbazhagan moved a resolution on revocation.
Later, the resolution was passed after Speaker R Avudaiappan said V T Kalairajan, Ce Ve Shanmugam, Pollachi V Jayaraman and R Vishwanathan could attend the House from tommorow.
The Speaker asked the members not to behave in an unruly manner and conduct themselves in a dignified fashion.
The four members were suspended on April 5 for the rest of the Budget Session when the House witnessed unruly scenes over a reference to Former Chief Minister MGR.
While Mr Kalairajan showed his footwear, others rushed to the Well of the House and engaged in heated arguments with the Treasury benches.
