Water facility built sans permission in court premises

Bhopal, Apr 26 (UNI) A potable water facility has been constructed and even inaugurated sans permission in the District Court premises here.

District Judge Renu Sharma yesterday issued notices to District Bar Association President Vijay Chaudhry, Lions' Club Bhopal President Sanjay Gupta, Nyayik Karmchari Sangh President Neeraj Shrivastav and four employees who are to respond within three days.

A plaque about the construction and inauguration was removed yesterday itself. The facility was inaugurated on Sunday by Mayor Sunil Sood.

''I will reply to the notice tomorrow and obey the District Judge's orders in this regard,'' said Mr Gupta.

A probe is underway, following a court directive, into the construction of a religious structure in the premises in 2005.
