Ukraine PM says vote decree undermines agreements-Ifx
MOSCOW, Apr 26 (Reuters) Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich said today President Viktor Yushchenko's election decree had undermined agreements already reached, Interfax news agency reported.
Yushchenko signed a decree late on Wednesday putting back to June 24 the date of parliamentary elections, which he called earlier this month in a surprise decision that heightened tensions with rival Yanukovich.
''It undermines all agreements which were worked out after the first decree,'' Yanukovich told reporters in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent, Interfax reported.
''Such actions do not engender respect and do not give hopes for the future,'' Yanukovich said, adding that he wanted to have a meeting with Yushchenko.
