TTD orders probe into VVIP treatment to Abhi-Aish

Tirumala, Apr 26 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) today decided to probe the circumstances that led to providing VVIP treatment to star couple Abhishek and Aishwarya, who do not fall under Protocol category, by the TTD officials during their visit to Tirumala temple on April 22.

After attending the TTD Board meeting here, TTD Chairman B Karunakara Reddy said TTD EO K V Ramanachari had been asked to conduct an inquiry into the whole episode and submit a report within 30 days.

He said after perusing the report, the TTD would take stern action against the officials, who provided VVIP treatment to the couple.

The Chairman said the board had taken decision to provide VIP darshan to 21 category VIPS who come under protocol during Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It would ban VIP darshan for other VIPs who do not come under protocol during the three days.

He said the board decided to increase the VIP darshan ticket price from Rs 200 to 500 from May one.
