Sony aims $2 bln biz from India by 2010
New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) Japanese electronics giant Sony aims to touch revenues worth two billion dollars from its consumer durable and mobile handset business in India by 2009-10.
''Our consolidated business in the country (Sony Ericsson and Sony India) contributed about one billion dollars in 2006-07. We aim to double this number by 2009-10,'' Sony India's newly-appointed Managing Director Masaru Tawagawa said on the sidelines of the launch of Sony's gaming console 'PlayStation3' here today.
Sony India, a major player in home entertainment, clocked revenues of Rs 2,300 crore for the fiscal ending March 31, 2007.
