Satyam opens regional solutions hub in Sydney
Hyderabad, Apr 26: Satyam Computer Services, a leading global consulting and information technology services company, today opened a 150-seat development centre in North Sydney.
The facility, which would serve as a Regional Solutions Hub, demonstrate Satyam's commitment to Australia. It had development centres in Melbourne and at York Street in the Sydney central business district as well as its continous effort to bolster its Virtual Global Delivery Model, according to a release here today.
High Commissioner of India P P Shukla and Satyam's co-founder and Chief Executive Officer B Rama Raju officially opened the centre at a ceremony.
In a statement, Mr Raju said, ''Australia is an important market place for Satyam and this new centre will offer the same expertise and project management capabilities typlfied by our Australian operations. These capabilities will provide customers throughout the region with the improved agility and responsiveness they need to excel in competitive business environment.'' He said the opening of the centre was the latest in a series of regionally-focused Satyam's investments, including a recent agreement with the government in Nanjing to build a 2,500-seat development campus, which would serve both multinational and domestic Chinese customers.
Like the one in China, the new Sydney solution centre would be able to provide onshore and offshore services to regional clients due to the availability of mature communication and IT talent, he said.
