Rapist ties nuptial knot in jail

Bongaon, Apr 26 (UNI) A man, arrested on charges of rape, today married his victim at Malipota village under Bagdah police station in North 24 Parganas.

Abdul Pakani (34) tied the knot with Chyna Mondol (18) in the jail, officials said.

Pakani, who was arrested on March 3 last for raping Chyna, remained under judicial custody till the marriage following a settlement between the families of both the bride and groom.

The marriage was organised as per the Islamic rituals in the presence of a 'qazi' where parents from both the sides were present.

The marraige was registered the same day.
