UP: Rahul seeks to know real pulse of voters

Sultanpur, Apr 26: Congress MP and party 'star campaigner' Rahul Gandhi today sought to know the real pulse of electorate during his first roadshow in the Sultanpur assembly segment.

After interacting with party workers, Mr Gandhi took out roadshows in Para Bazar, Haliapur, Waldirai, Dhanpatganj, Kurebhar areas of the Isauli assembly segment and Katka Hayatnagar, Saifullaganj, Barausa, Jai Singhpur, Pandey Baba areas of Jai Singhpur assembly constituency.

Later, the young MP also conducted roadshows in Chanda, Lambhua, Madanpur Pariyar, Bhadeha, Kamtaganj of the Kadipur Vidhan Sabha segment.

Braving the hot sun, people gathered in large numbers to have a glimpse of Mr Gandhi.

Mr Gandhi also addressed short election meetings in five assembly segments of Sultanpur parliamentary constituency.

Seeking vote for Congress, he asserted ''if you aspire to see Sultanpur developed like Amethi, give Congress an MLA in every assembly constituency.'' ''In Amethi, roads worth Rs 400 crore were constructed. Sadly, Sultanpur remained undeveloped since Congress did not have an MLA here. So please make my dream of 'developed UP' come true by giving Congress an MLA in every Vidhan Sabha segment,'' the young Congress MP maintained.
