Precious metals decline further

Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) Silver and Gold prices declined further today on the Bombay Bullion Exchange with the white metal sliding by Rs 175 per kg and pure Gold by Rs 50 per ten gm.

Silver fineness .999 opened downward at Rs 19,410 per kg on sluggish demand. Later, it eased further and closed at Rs 19,345 with a huge loss of Rs 175 from yesterday's close of Rs 19,520.

In London, Silver slashed to USD 13.65/13.68 per troy ounce against USD 13.73/13.76 per troy ounce in New York.

Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) opened weak at Rs 9,105 per ten gm and closed at Rs 9,095 with a loss of Rs 55 from its last close. Pure Gold (99.9) also opened slightly downward at Rs 9,155 per ten gm and closed at Rs 9,145 per ten gm with a loss of Rs 50 from its previous close.

In London, Gold edged down to USD 679.00/681.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 683.00/686.00 per troy ounce in New York on Wednesday.
