PCK to launch various projects under Vision 2012

Kottayam, Apr 26 (UNI) The Plantation Corporation of Kerala Ltd (PCK) is launching various projects under the 'Vision 2012' programme as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.

PCK, the largest plantation company in the public sector in India was established in 1962. The intention of 'Vision 2012' was an integrated development, PCK Chairman T J Anjelos said in a press conference here today.

Production and productivity of rubber, cashew, oil palm and other crops would be increased besides introducing organic vegetable cultivation, programmes for the welfare of workers and two dozen other projects during the next five years, under Vision 2012.

Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran would release the 'Vision 2012' at a function to be held at the PCK headquarters here on April 30. MP Suresh Kurup would inaugurate the training centre and MLA V N Vasavan would release the logo, he said.
