Opto Circuits to buy medical equipment cos

New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) Opto Circuits India Ltd today said it will acquire medical equipment manufacturing companies -- Devon Innovations Pvt Ltd and Ormed Medical Technology Ltd -- for an undisclosed amount.

This acquisition will help the company to extend its penetration in India and also in the international healthcare market.

Devon Innovations manufactures catheters and allied products for various medical segments while Ormed Medical deals in orthopaedic prosthesis and surgical disposables.

Through this takeover, the company specialist in cardiology, will make its presence with in the specialities of urology, gastroenterology and orthopaedics in the domestic and global market.
