Operation continues to rescue a boy who had fallen in 36ft Borewell
Raichur, Apr 26 (UNI) Operation continuing even after 48 hours to rescue eight year old boy who had fallen into a 36ft abandoned borewell at Neermanvi village in the District on Wednesday.
More than 50 experts from Hutti Gold Mines have dug parallel pit cutting rock and trying to reach the boy. Meanwhile, a full fledged medical team has been kept ready to provide treatment to the boy immediately after being rescued.
Sandeep who went for pulking mango accidently fell into the dry borewell.
About latest position of the operation a senior police officer said that "we are just 1.5 feet away from the boy and we can lift Sandeep with a couple of hours." Continues supply of oxygen has been maintained.
According to latest reports, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was expected to visit the spot in the afternoon.
Police are finding it hard to control the eager people who are coming from nearby villages.
The boy's father, who was crippled last year due to jaundice was unable to visit the spot and mother, who is suffering from cancer has been admitted to hospital and she was not yet informed about the incident.
