Music to diabetics
Chennai, Apr 26 (UNI) This 'sweet' news will really be music to the ears of diabetics.
The Tamil Nadu government-owned AAVIN today launched sugar-free icecreams in the presence of Local Administration Minister M K Stalin and Dairy Development Minister U Madhiavanan.
Chennai City Corporation Mayor M Subramanian launched the first sale at the AAVIN outlet in Ezhilagam complex.
The icecreams were safe for children, pregnant women and a boon for the diabetic patients and the Suclose content in it would not create an chemical reaction in the body.
The icecreams contained 80.0 calories and 16 mg of Suclose as against 8,000 mg of suclose in sugar icecreams, and were approved by the USFDA and the PFA Act of India.
