Miscreants run away with goods worth Rs 2 lakh

Chennai, Apr 26 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants broke open the back door of a house at suburb Thiruvottriyur here last night and decamped with goods worth Rs two lakh.

Police said the robbery was reported to have taken place at the house of Velayutham (60), a retired employee of a popular automobile company, when he along with his family had gone to his elder son's house at Velacherri, four days ago.

Velayutham returned home last night and was shocked to see the back door of his house broken and the steel almirah was ransacked.
