LS condemns terror incidents in Algeria, Casablanca
New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) The Lok Sabha today denounced the terrorist attacks in Algiers on April 11 in which 30 civilians were killed, and asserted that the scourge of terrorism could not be condoned in any form and must be confronted with determination and firmness.
The House also expressed its shock and grief over the terrorist incidents in Casablanca early this month, aimed at the civilian population and at disrupting peace.
The members stood in silence for two minutes as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
Making a reference earlier, Speaker Somnath Chatterjee said the attack on the office of the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeris was deplorable.
"The House reiterates the solidarity of the people of India with their Algerian and Moroccan brethren in their common struggle against the menace of global terrorism," he said.
