LeT militant found dead in Mahore

Jammu, Apr 26 (UNI) A body of Paksitan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant was found lying at a nullah in Shadaul area of Mahore in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, an Army spokesman today said.

Identified as Bashir Ahmed, 28, alias Abu Samama code A5, resident Shadaul, who was active since 2002 was recovered from a nullah last evening, Army's XVI Corps spokesman Col D K Badola said.

''The cause of militant's death has not been ascertained yet,'' he said, adding the troops were carrying on a search operation.

However, the police have not confirmed if Bashir Ahmed was a militant, and registered a case under section 174 RPC.

''We are investigating the case and only after the confirmation we will be able to declare the man as militant,'' SSP Reasi J L Sharma told UNI
