Japanese delegation to visit Gujarat

Rajkot, Apr 26: Delegation of Japanese entrepreneurs would visit Gujarat during next three months to see the investment opportunities in various sectors, specially Power, Ports and automobiles.

Briefing mediapersons here today, Group President of Reliance Industries Parimal Nathwani said the meeting of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi with a high level delegation consisting of heads of Japanese companies and industry association was very 'fruitful' and apprised them of investment opportunities in various sectors such as Power and Ports in Gujarat as the state has good potential opportunities for the development.

Speaking on behalf of the members of the business delegation who visited Japan for a week from April 14, under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Nathwani said the main objective of this delegation was to showcase Gujarat as a fast developing growth engine of India.

The objective was also to kindle keen interest amongst the investors in Japan towards the potential investment opportunities in the state of Gujarat.

To compete with China, Japan has shown keen interest to seize the investment opportunity in Asia and particularly in India.
