Heat wave condition prevails in Rajasthan

Pune, Apr 26 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Rajasthan and isolated places in Haryana.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Himachal Pradesh. It was appreciably above normal in Uttaranchal, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and in remaining parts of Rajasthan. It was above normal in some parts of Orissa, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and in remaining parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manaipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at a few places in Kerala and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, east Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
