Four BRO labourers killed, 12 wounded in accidents in Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 26 (UNI) Four labourers of the Project Beacon of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) were killed and 12 others wounded in separate road accidents across the Kashmir valley since the last evening, police said today.
They said a tipper of the Project Beacon, carrying GREF labourers, fell into a deep gorge near Dhoba Chollan in border area of Uri in Baramulla district yesterday.
While four labourers were killed in the accident, ten sustained serious injuries. The wounded have been hospitalised. Police have registered a case in this regard and taken up investigations.
In another accident, a Tata Sumo hit and wounded a boy, Fayaz Ahmad Ahanger at Badgam bus stand.
An Army vehicle of 21 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) hit and wounded a woman, Soni, a resident of Rajasthan, at Uranhal near Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.
Meanwhile, a Cielo car caught fire near Goal Chakri at Ram Munshi Bagh here. The vehicle was completely damaged in the fire, but there was no loss of life or injury in the incident.
Shot circuit in the wiring was said to be the cause of the fire.
