Five arrested in betting on World Cup cricket matches

New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) The Delhi police have arrested five persons from various parts of the city for betting on cricket world cup matches.

Two persons were arrested yesterday from Kashmere gate while betting on the Australia-South Africa semi final match.

Prashan Malik and Vikki Grover disclosed that they were indulging in the illegal trade for the last one and a half years.

In another incident, the Police arrested three persons from I P extension in East Delhi on the night of April 24 while they were indulging in betting on the New Zealand- Sri Lanka semifinal match.

In a separate incident, one person was arrested from West Patel Nagar for betting on the New Zealand-Sri Lanka match.
